Hi, We’re Two Food Nuts with a Taste for Life!

In the past two years both Harry and I retired from our careers as business professionals.  After decades of running our own businesses, it’s time to kick back and enjoy some time together. We have very full lives, with 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren not to mention an extended family and our latest addition Tommy the cat.

We have the good fortune of living in a country setting just outside Toronto and spending time at the cottage in the summer. We have access to amazing food sources while at home.  But at the cottage we take a more homespun approach to meals largely because we don’t have access to the variety of ingredients in the country.   One of our favorite things is entertaining our friends and family. We love to cook for them and with them.  We also love to experience excellent food when we go to Toronto or Montreal. Both are renowned for great cooking and we’re willing to explore as often as possible.

In our blog we’ll share our love of cooking, teaching cooking, foraging, and of course eating great food.

We aren’t professional cooks or chefs, but we do consider ourselves professional eaters.

We hope that you come on our journey of discovery and perhaps we’ll all learn something from each other.
